Why disputes happen

Most disputes don't start with bad work. They start with two people remembering the same conversation differently.

One shared record

Both sides talk. WeSaid keeps the record.

The everyday problem

We've all had these conversations.

The problem

I thought you said Friday.
You told me to order that tile.
I never approved that change.
Wed 6:52 PM
You said that was included.
I told you about the additional cost.

A familiar scenario?

WeSaid solves those everyday disagreements before they become legal disputes.

Can we move this wall two feet?

Yes. That's an additional $4,800 and adds three days.

Okay. Do it.

Six weeks later, nobody has to remember what was agreed.

The sell

WeSaid captures the conversations as they happen.

  • ✕No memory.
  • ✕No note-taking.
  • ✕No "let me email you to confirm."

WeSaid turns every meeting, video walkthrough and text into a tamper-proof record that both sides trust.

The why

WeSaid creates an independent record of what contractors and clients actually agreed, across meetings, texts and video walkthroughs.

✓Recorded ✓Transcribed ✓Time-stamped ✓Protected ✓Available to both sides

One project. One number. One shared record.

The cost

What just one of those disputes actually costs you.

It rarely stops at the disagreement itself. One conversation nobody can prove sets off weeks of lost time, legal bills, and delayed money.

Weeks

Of your time, gone

Chasing emails, digging through texts, re-litigating a conversation from memory. Management time you'll never bill for.

$3,000+

Before a lawyer says a word

A few hours of attorney time to review a "he said / she said" with no proof runs into the thousands, win or lose.

The job's profit

Wiped out by one dispute

Delayed payments, a lien, a lost referral. A single disagreement over what was said can erase the margin on the entire project.

Why texts and emails aren't enough

  • ✗ The important decisions happen out loud, on site, not in writing
  • ✗ Texts get deleted, and screenshots get disputed as easily as memory
  • ✗ An email confirming what was agreed is still just one side's account
  • ✗ Notes written after the fact carry almost no weight in a dispute
  • ✗ Nobody wants to stop mid-walkthrough to write a summary
  • ✗ By the time you need proof, the job ended months ago
What it captures

Meetings. Walkthroughs. Texts.

WeSaid doesn't add new tech. It captures the conversations you already have every day and keeps them in one place, for the life of the job and 12 months after.

Meetings

Hit Start Meeting on site or remotely. Your client joins from a text link, and the conversation is recorded and transcribed with both parties on the record.

Video walkthroughs

Show the work at the press of a button. Agree the change on camera and have it captured as it happens.

Texts

Texts to and from the project number are logged into the same project history as your meetings and walkthroughs.

Stored after the job

Everything stays available for 12 months after the project finishes, which is when most disputes surface. Need longer? Extend it.

How it works

Six steps, and only one of them is something you do differently

The contractor works from their phone. The client taps a text link. That's the whole workflow.

1

Agreed at contract signing

Both parties agree upfront that project meetings are recorded. It's in the contract from day one, so nobody is surprised and nobody is recorded without consent.

2

Your client gets a project number

A one-time setup email: create a password, and here is the dedicated project number for texts and meeting requests on this job.

One number per project. Meetings, walkthroughs and texts all land in one record.
3

You hit Start Meeting

On site, mid-walkthrough, any time. WeSaid texts your client a link. They tap it and they're straight into the meeting. No app, no login.

4

Your client can start one too

They text the project number to request a meeting. WeSaid logs the request instantly, even before anything starts. You hit Start Meeting and they get the link.

5

Or defer, with a receipt

Can't meet right now? Defer. Your client automatically gets a text confirming the request was received and when you'll connect, and that acknowledgment is logged too.

6

Both sides are protected

Every recording, transcript and text is kept in WeSaid's read-only repository. Both sides log in to the same original. Nothing is sent out, and nobody can edit it.

Who it protects

Both sides hold the same proof

WeSaid doesn't pick a side. That's why clients agree to it. Everyone in the meeting walks away with an identical, independent record.

⚒

Contractors

Proof of every approval and instruction you were given. Disputes get settled by the transcript instead of by lawyers, and clients take you more seriously for offering it.

⌂

Homeowners & clients

An independent record of exactly what was promised, not just the contractor's version of it. One tap to join, nothing to install, and you can log in and view the original any time.

§

Owner's representatives

Every instruction documented and every liability on record. One rep can require WeSaid across all of their contractors on every job.

✦

Inspectors & insurers

A remote, witnessed inspection with a durable archive behind it. No travel, and any downloaded record can be verified against the original in seconds.

The record

Built so neither side can quietly change it

A recording only settles an argument if nobody can edit it afterwards. Every WeSaid meeting is stored once, in a read-only, tamper-proof central repository that both parties can view. WeSaid never sends copies out.

  • ✓Named participants with phone-verified identity on both sides
  • ✓Full searchable transcript, with timestamps on every moment
  • ✓Stored in a read-only central repository. Neither side can edit or delete it
  • ✓A SHA-256 fingerprint on every record
  • ✓Downloaded a record? Check it against the original instantly with the verification tool on WeSaid.com
  • ✓Viewable by both parties as soon as the meeting ends
  • ✓Stored for 12 months after the project finishes, with longer storage available

What it looks like

A $40,000 argument that lasted three minutes

The same job, with WeSaid running.

Day 1WeSaid is in the contract. The client creates a password and gets the project number.
Week 3Mid-walkthrough, the client asks to move a wall. The contractor hits Start Meeting on his phone. The client taps the text link and joins from the kitchen.
Week 3 · +11 minThey agree the change, the $4,800 and the three extra days out loud. The meeting ends. The recording and transcript go into the project record, where both of them can see it.
Week 9The client says the extra cost was never discussed and withholds payment.
Week 9 · +3 minThe contractor points the client to the meeting in the project record. The conversation is over. No attorney, no lien, no lost referral, and the client can see for themselves that they'd simply forgotten.
Pricing

Questions

The things everyone asks

Does WeSaid record phone calls?

No. WeSaid records meetings and video walkthroughs that start from a WeSaid link, and logs texts to the project number. Ordinary phone calls are never recorded.

Does my client have to download anything?

No. They get a text with a link, they tap it, and the meeting opens in their phone's browser. No app, no account to log into, no setup on site.

Isn't it awkward to ask a client to be recorded?

It's agreed at contract signing, before anyone's on site, so it's never a moment. And because the client gets the same record you do, most see it as protection rather than surveillance.

Is it legal to record the conversation?

WeSaid is built around consent from both parties, agreed in writing at signing, which is what recording-consent laws turn on. Rules vary by state, so check the wording with your attorney.

Who can see the recordings?

Both parties on the project, equally. Both log in to the same read-only original in WeSaid's central repository. Nobody holds a private copy, and nobody can edit or delete it.

What happens when the job finishes?

Cancel the project subscription and stop paying. Your records stay stored for 12 months after the project finishes, at no extra cost. If you need them kept longer, extended storage is available for an additional charge.

Will it hold up in a dispute?

The original never leaves WeSaid's read-only repository. Each record carries verified participant identities, timestamps and a SHA-256 fingerprint.

What if someone downloads a record?

Either side can download a record to use in a claim or a case file. Anyone can then check that download against the original on WeSaid.com in seconds, so an edited version is caught immediately.
